VITAL WELLNESS

Vital Wellness is committed to empowering our clients to take control of their health with a holistic approach to overall well being.

ABOUT US

A little of our backstory… After a combined 32 years of experience in the medical field, we have witnessed the devastating impacts of chronic illness, and feel strongly about the benefits of prevention. It is our belief that often times, the root cause of chronic illness goes unidentified and unaddressed. We feel that it is never too late to prioritize true wellness. With that said, we decided to step away from our bedside nursing careers, to focus on building a business that would empower our clients to take a more holistic and customized approach to their health.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Vital Wellness?

Vital Wellness is an IV (intravenous) vitamin infusion/therapy mobile concierge business that offers the highest quality (fresh, potent and pure) locally sourced (here in Northern VA) vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and amino acids to deliver the benefits of IV hydration and vitamin therapy directly to your home, office, private events/parties, hotels or wherever you are.

How Long Do IV Infusions Take?

IV treatments typically last 30-60 minutes (with the exception of NAD infusion).

How Often Can I Get IV Infusions?

People seek out IV therapy for an array of different health goals, your goals will determine how often you should receive treatments. Feel free to discuss the specifics of your treatment plan with your infuser.

What is the Difference Between Taking Vitamins Orally or Via IV?

Oral vitamins are only absorbed at a rate of an estimated 25%-50% because they pass through your digestive system (where many nutrients get lost and are not absorbed), whereas IV vitamins are absorbed at 100% since they are administered directly into your bloodstream (which rapidly corrects vitamin deficiencies).

Who Will Be Administering the Treatment?

All of our treatments are administered by licensed Registered Nurses who are also certified in Emergency Care, Trauma and Critical Care Nursing. They are supervised by a medical director.

How Does IV Therapy Work?

RN will prepare the bag of saline by adding all the appropriate vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients, one at a time into the solution before infusing the IV. Intravenous vitamin therapy provides vitamins, minerals, amino acids, anti-oxidants and micronutrients directly into your bloodstream allowing for 100% absorption into your system.

Do you Accept Insurance?

We do not accept private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. However, we do accept FSA or HSA cards for payment as many health plans with health savings accounts or flexible spending accounts reimburse for our services.

Does IV Therapy Have any Side Effects?

There are no serious side effects of hydration treatments. However, some clients experience bruising, redness or tenderness around the injection site.

Can Anyone Get Vitalized?

We will infuse any eligible client/patient ages 12 and older. Unfortunately, patients with heart failure, heart disease, kidney disease, undergoing dialysis and/or have hydrocephalus are not candidates for our services.

Can Pregnant Women get Vitalized?

Absolutely. Our drips are beneficial for those who suffer from hyperemesis gravida or regular morning sickness. With Vitamin infusion therapy, you will be provided with hydration, vitamins and nutrients that support a healthy pregnancy. Our Vitally Pregnant IV is enriched with electrolytes, Vitamin C and B complex to help mitigate morning sickness, minimize nausea, decrease constipation issues, decrease the risk of getting urinary tract infections and decrease the risk of pre-term labor. We do offer Zofran for nausea per request (Zofran is a Pregnancy Category B drug).

Do I Need to Get Tested (Lab Work) Before Getting an Infusion?

No. We do not require testing before your infusion.

Do I Need a Prescription for an Infusion?

No, you do not need a physical prescription in hand prior to your infusion. Our Medical Director reviews your application (H&P) for an infusion and if you are eligible for treatment, she will approve prescribed vitamin infusion internally.

How Long Do the Benefits of Vitamin Therapy Last?

This will vary on the individual and their health status, however, the noticeable effects last up to a week and the underlying clinical benefits can continue for up to two weeks.
